I didn’t arrive at this work from the outside. I lived it.
To want love... but not feel fully safe in it.
To question yourself. To overanalyze. To feel like you're “almost there” ... but something keeps getting in the way.
I know what it’s like to be inside patterns you can’t see clearly.
I grew up in a complex environment.
Severe mental illness in the home
Financial instability
Adoption at birth that made attachment as an infant impossible
Immigration at a young age that deeply impacted belonging
There was no sense of love that was safe, comforting, available when needed.
So I adapted in ways that made sense at the time... but later created patterns that were confusing,
painful, and hard to change.

I developed a fearful-avoidant
(disorganized) attachment style...
And for a long time, I didn’t
fully understand why.
